Dear Club exco members,

The next BIG Event in our toastmasters calender is our Division S International Speech and Table Topics contest 08/09.

This event will feature 7 best International Speeches and 7 Best Table topic speaker. These 14 contestants are the best of the best in Division S.

Come and witness this wonderful event and learn from the best !!!

The contest details as follows :

Date : 8th March 2009

Time : 2pm

Venue : Penang Adventist Hospital (Nursing College)

Fee : RM10 / person (with light refreshment)

Announcement: S6 & S7 International Speech & Table Topics Joint Area Contest Result

Fellow Toastmasters,

Our S6 & S7 Joint Area Speech Contest has been successfully held yesterday @ IJM Land Building, Penang. It is my pleasure to share some key updates from the event.

#1) This is the most happening Area Contest in Division S this year which attended by 75 members and guests !!
#2) This is one of the most high team-spirit demonstration event. We have some technical issue on timing device, five voluntarily timing devices immediately were delivered to the venue within an hours time to ensure the success of the event.

We cannot change the wind, but we can change the sail!
Congratulations to Area Winners and high team-spirit demonstration to all Division S members!!

It’s about time you appeared in print! Be the model you were meant to be and submit a photo of yourself or a fellow club member in an exotic location. But here’s the hitch: You have to have the Toastmaster magazine in the picture.

Have you led a team up a mountain or guided a group across the Sahara? Have you tried Table Topics in Tokyo, Paris or Dubai? If you’re planning a foreign adventure that includes some aspect of leadership or communication (or a visit to a club), be sure to take along a copy of the Toastmaster magazine. Pose with it in your exciting surroundings – the more challenging and far-reaching, the better. One step further: Take a copy along when you visit a Toastmasters club in a faraway land and pose with the magazine and your new friends!

E-mail the image to photos@toastmasters.org. Check the Web site’s photo galleries page often to see if your photo was chosen for display!

Where are we in Division S ? (Feb check point)

This is status update for clubs in Area S6 listed in Division S DCP achievement.

2 out of 4 clubs are ranked at top of Division S DCP Performance Stack Ranking.

There are 10 clubs will achieve at least 5 DCP Goal when TLI-2 Attendance Report submitted.

Let's continue our courage to conquer and be recognised with Division Courageous Pin when you achieve any CC, CL, AC, AL Awards! There are only 100 Division Pin in stock. HURRY UP!
