Fellow Toastmasters,

Do you know what is the size of our Division S ?

How many clubs and members we serve?

Division S is one of 14 divisions in District 51.

We are serving 33 clubs in Penang and Perak state.

There are 7 Areas formed to service 550 members.

We are ranking as the 3rd largest group in District 51!

Another interesting findings.

Each Area Governor (AG) serves 4-7 clubs.

I sumed up all clubs in District 51 and divided by total of AG we have.

The result is averagely each AG is serving 4.71 clubs.

Coincidently Division S is also having the same number!

After all, you may wonder why I show you some much numbers?

The key message is just want to share with you more info about our Division.

As one of the largest division, success of District will co-relate much to division success.

So, each of you are contributed to our Division success and District success as a whole.

Please be informed that i have today submitted in to Toastmasters International our request for change of name from MCA Bukit Gelugor Toastmasters Club to BUKIT GELUGOR TOASTMASTERS CLUB. (BGTMC in short).

There are two Division Council serving 64 clubs in our Northern Region.

They are:-
Division N - serving 31 clubs in Penang and Kedah
Division S - serving 33 clubs in Penang and Perak

There are 14 Areas formed to serve members in 64 clubs. How are our Area doing thus far?

From Toastmasters International Area Report as at 5-Dec-2008, our area, Area S6 is ranked as one of the Top Achiever Area among 14 Areas in Northern Region Malaysia.

3 Area Goals we achieved so far:-
1) 75% Oct Renewal submitted on time to WHQ
2) First round of Area Report on Club Visit submitted to WHQ
3) 60% of clubs must have 20 or more members
